Partnering with public and private defendant insurers, we have extensive experience in assessing and managing claims across a wide range of public liability, employer’s liability, professional indemnity and compulsory third party motor vehicle related insurance matters. We represent Australia’s leading insurers and a number of specialist underwriters, managing claims in the District and Supreme Courts of Western Australia as well as the State Administrative Tribunal.

In managing our clients’ interests, we aim to identify the key legal and determinative issues of a claim and resolve matters in an expedient manner. To this end, we are active proponents of mediated resolutions of claims, both on an informal basis and at pre-trial conference negotiations.
Successful outcomes we have recently achieved for our clients include:
- Achieving settlement in one of the largest claims involving the Insurance Commission of Western Australia, via a Court approved periodical payment structured settlement
- Successfully defending through to the High Court a multi million dollar catastrophic injury claim on the issue of liability
- Successfully defending an issue of liability through to the High Court in relation to a professional indemnity claim brought against a firm of solicitors
